Bangers cooking at stone saw mill excavation – the “A-Team” in action in December 2011. Throughout the year, most Fridays have seen the team on site revealing features of a stone saw mill, which started operation in the early 1800s under water power, later changed to steam power, and ceasing operations in the early 1900s. Until excavation started, this was a small wood with tantalising lumps and bumps in the landscape.
